Cloudscapes

This is a series of photographs of cloud formations, five of which are shown here from a much larger group. They show vapour moulded by temperature and pressure into landscapes that seem solid, but are ephemeral. It is a view of the celestial world, quiet and serene.
Inspired by William Blake they confirm his conceit that the imagination is sovereign, but contradict his view that nature is subordinate and ordinary in comparison.
